The Zoo will be filled with “egg-straordinary” spring-themed activities! Watch your favorite animals, explore the Egg Hunt trail, and more!

All activities are included with Zoo admission unless otherwise noted. Registration is not required, and Zoo Pass membership is valid for this event.

 

 

The day’s highlights taking place from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. include:

  • BUNNY EARS – Main Entrance: Grab your own set of bunny ears and look just like our furry friend!
  • RAZZMATAZZ – U.S. Bank Gathering Place: Get into the spring spirit with Dixie-land jazz from this popular group.
  • EGG DAY SPRING BINGO – Penguins of the Pacific: Pick up a bingo card and mark spaces as you see items around the Zoo. Once you have a bingo, return your card by 3 p.m. to receive a prize! (Bingo cards will be handed out until 2 p.m.)
  • EGG HUNT – Caribou to Elk: Count the animal print eggs hidden along the trail and receive a special treat!
  • FACE PAINTING – Conservation Outpost: Receive a bunny nose and whiskers to complete your look!
  • CHALK THE ZOO – Elephant Care Center: Spring has sprung for the elephants! Add your flower to the garden path.
  • BUNNY EGGXPRESS: Hop aboard the North Shore Bank Safari Train and search for the carrots the Bunny left behind. Fee: $4/person plus sales tax – weather permitting
  • BUNNY PARADE: You won’t want to miss the parade, featuring the Bunny himself! Stop along the parade route during one of its three expeditions at 10:30 a.m., Noon, and 1:30 p.m. (Parade route starts and ends at Macaque Island.)
  • PHOTO “HOPORTUNITIES”: Be sure to share your special day for all to see by taking a photo at our three special Photo HOPortunities. Locations: Back of the U.S. Bank Gathering Place, across from the Aquatic & Reptile Center, and near Lakeview Landing.
  • ANIMAL ENRICHMENT DEMONSTRATIONS
    • 10 a.m. – Pigs (Northwestern Mutual Family Farm)
    • 11 a.m. – Big Cats
    • 11:30 a.m. – Harbor Seals
    • Noon – Otters
    • 1 p.m. – Elephants
