Enjoy trick-or-treating, pumpkin animal enrichment, dazzling light shows, live entertainment, and plenty more not-too-spooky fun for the whole family.
All event activities and entertainment are free with Boo at the Zoo admission unless otherwise noted.
The Aviary closes at 3:30 p.m. All other animal buildings will be open throughout the evening. For their health and safety, outdoor animals are not viewable at night.
Trick or treat at 6 different sweet spots! All candy is made with sustainable palm oil. Allergy-friendly options are also available — look for the teal-colored pumpkins. (Be sure to bring your own treat bag to gather your goodies, as trick-or-treat bags are not provided.)

West Entrance (near Modern Woodmen Otter Passage)

Watch as scientists mix bubbling, fizzing, glowing potions and discover experiments that look like they belong in a Mad Scientist’s secret lab. You’ll be amazed as they make a quarter shiver, create a mysterious dry shower for brave scientists to “bathe” in, and reveal other delightfully spooky science surprises!
