arrow Does the Zoo rent wheelchairs or motorized scooters?
Yes, the Zoo rents both standard wheelchairs and motorized scooters. We also rent adult strollers, which need the aid of a second person to push the vehicle. These accommodate persons up to 250 pounds. The cost of a standard wheelchair or adult stroller is $8 each. The cost of a motorized scooter is $22. These do not need to be reserved in advanced. They can be rented near the main entrance to the Zoo; just to the left of the Humboldt Penguin Exhibit as you enter the Zoo.
arrow Can I bring my own stroller or wagon into the Zoo?
Yes, you may bring in your own stroller or wagon. The Zoo does rent strollers for a fee of $6. These can be rented near the main entrance to the Zoo; just to the left of the Humboldt Penguin Exhibit as you enter the Zoo.
arrow Once inside the Zoo, can I leave and re-enter the park?
Yes, once you have paid admission, you may leave and re-enter the park. Remember to keep your original receipt and present it to the gate attendant upon re-entry.

Although the Zoo has two full-service restaurants within the park offering a variety of food items, visitors are allowed to bring their own food and beverages.

Each year, thousands of visitors enjoy private events related to corporate, non-profit functions at the Zoo. A private event might include the rental of a picnic area, a building rental such as the Peck Welcome Center or the Zoofari Conference Center, or an entire Zoo grounds rental, in which an organization could have exclusive rights to the park.
